Cooking Building

Take a kitchen, 6 cookers and a few spoons, then bring the most promising talent from your company together and transform them into chefs in a business suit! There you go! Your best team ever is served! The objective of the class is to stimulate creativity and develop a sense of team spirt and collaboration, essential qualities for modern professionals in every sector. Put your best managers to the test, by getting them to try their hand with blenders, onions and dough. La Capinera, in collaboration with 'Mela Mangio', has a tempting range of cooking lessons for keen team builders.

All in a fun and interactive way, using 'outdoor classrooms' and sensorial play, where participants can watch and learn to prepare the 'raw materials' that will become the ingredients for exquisite recipes that we'll prepare together. We will also teach about sensorial perception and food tasting and the benefits of healthy eating. The importance of flavour and emotions, on a discovery of the cycles of nature.

    EDUCATIONAL OBJECTIVES
  • Illustrate the composition of food and its nutritional value, teaching children about different flavours, traceability and seasonal foods;
  • Use education on healthy eating as a learning tool for children from all nations and cultures, encouraging curiosity and openness towards multicultural realities;
  • Promote healthy eating habits, developing a positive attitude towards food, while teaching how food can be used to protect our health and the natural environment;
  • Implement a learning programme that aims to remove unhealthy eating behaviours and incorrect knowledge of food, encouraging consumption of healthy foods;
  • Raise awareness and encourage a critical approach towards food and its relative advertising messages.
  • Where possible, involve Infant and Secondary schools in the open-air classroom, sensorial play activities: natural open-air, food growing workshops in real gardens and allotments.
  • The creation of a recipe book with photos, which will be sold nationwide. All the proceeds will be donated to an international child protection organisation, which will be chosen by the children and young people involved in the Mela Mangio project.
